Born
and raised in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Mary Rozenmuter
is an astounding artist, exemplifying creativity and
originality in it's very essence. Mary has pushed art
almost to its limits with her intriguing and intricate
creations of glass. Her notoriety as an established
artist reaches from South America to Europe, and now
to the United States. This August will be her first
appearance in the U.S.
"After traveling through different techniques to
express myself in an artistic way, I found in the glass,
a new meaning of expression so incredibly tangible it's
ethereal. The colors and the handling together make
the glass an ideal raw material to plastically express
myself. "Glass Fusion" is a superposition
and folding technique. The glass is fired at approximately
790¢X and it is often colored with various oxides. This
technique was originally established by the Venetians,
and was gratefully re-discovered in the 20th century."
Currently residing in Buenos Aires, Argentine glass
artist and designer, Mary Rozenmuter will exhibit for
the first time in the United States at the Annie Su
Gallery this August. She is well-established in most
urban areas of South America, and has exhibited much
of her work in Europe as well. Her talent has lead her
to master creations involving intricate detail and design
in sculpture, jewelry, lamps, fountains, installations,
and accessories, to mention a few.
